I agree with basically everything Erin said above.With the Rufus/Lily storyline they are just f-ing up their marriage too soon.I like it when the ‘old people’ are happy and they have a minor part in the show.As you know I hate Jenny but she looked a lot better without the raccoon eyes.Nate and Serena are HOT together.C/B were great as well.I missed Vanessa,I love her and Dan together.Nate and Dan’s bromance is always a highlight in any episode .It is not the best episode that I have ever seen but it was solid enough the build up the rest of the season.I’m worried about the ratings they were really poor

I really liked it! N/S, C/B… I didn’t care for Rufus/Lily at all which is weird because I did start to care a little bit in the earlier part of the season but now I’m deliberating skipping their scenes. Jenny was such a pain.. I can’t stand Damien. But at least she’s making clothes again! Oh, and I missed Vanessa! I’m really invested in D/V so it was disappointing.

I love how Serena’s tights match Nate’s shirt. Blair looks super classy and Chuck has some weird looking shoes. Jenny looks like a spider, in a bad way.

I’m not for or against them breaking up I just wish they got a more intesting storyline. This season they’ve been nothing but cutsy moments or comic relief… I’m still waiting for the «white-hot sex» which was promised to me.
I find it strange that the writers always use guest stars instead of creating conflict between the characters we actually have. Why didn’t Chuck go after Rufus and Dan? – he could easily have wanted to sabotage Rufus’ wedding if only to avenge the fact that they were running around on his dad. And I agree with Erin – Blair and NYU was totally lame… they could have made Elenor pregnant and have Blair have a meltdown about losing her only child status and getting pushed out of her mom’s home (like in the book where she loses her room to baby Yale).

I don’t want them to break up but I want to see more.. sparks in their relationship. And no, I don’t just mean sexy times. I feel like both of their characters have changed a lot and have lost their individual personalities and traits that made us love them. It’s good to see them as a united couple but I feel like the GG writers didn’t want them to seem too cheesy or have TOO much of their relationship in the show and as a result, we’ve seen barely anything good between them this season. We’ve had a few sweet moments but people want to see the heavy make out sessions and the fun banter and wit that we used to see between them.

Both Blair and Chuck as separate characters have changed so much. Blair was the bitchy girl with hidden vulnerabilities and insecurities that made us love her. She was fierce, and she had layers. I think when they chose to not mention her bulimia and sent her to NYU, we saw a whining, annoying version of Blair which made the audience dislike her.

Chuck was so awesome (still is, just in a different way). He was always planning a scheme or had something going on. I like seeing him as an aspiring businessman and in a committed relationship, being sweet to Blair, but I miss the conniving Chuck with awesome one liners. I think everybody misses that.

I’m a teenager and I don’t smoke. I know people that smoke, I’ve been with people smoking, but I don’t smoke. I don’t judge her for smoking because it is her choice, and plus she never signed up to be a role model for kids. Gossip Girl is aimed at women 18-34 (not that people of other demographics don’t watch it). Considering all the “bad” things that occur on the show, I really don’t see what the big deal is. It’s not even illegal to smoke underage in America, it’s only illegal to buy cigarettes underage.

I’ve never smoked and seeing Taylor Momsen, or any celebrity, smoke is not going to make me want to. Besides, I see people my age and even younger smoke all the time and that doesn’t make me smoke, either. Taylor Momsen is not going to pressure me into anything by doing it herself. It’s her life.

I really don’t care that she smokes! Plus, it’s not surprising at all that she does. She looks like a crack whore most of the time.

As for this statement:
“To be honest, I don’t f–king care. I didn’t get into this to be a role model. So I’m sorry if I’m influencing your kids in a way that you don’t like, but I can’t be responsible for their actions. I don’t care.”

I don’t expect her to be a role model or to care, but I don’t like that she is rebelling. Well, at least it seems that way.

I totally agree with you (and Taylor)!

Why is anyone famous responsible for being a role model? They didn’t have your children, YOU did. So why are they responsible for raising them? They aren’t. YOU are!

Taylor signed up to be an actress on a TV show, not a model of perfect teen behaviour (in fact, judging by the show she’s on, she signed up to be the opposite of that). If parent’s want good role models for their kids, they should be them and that will also teach kids that being famous isn’t the most important thing in the world. If a parent can act as the best role model for their own child, it just proves that you can be the greatest influence on the future generation WITHOUT having to have cameras follow you around!

Nate and Serena can go either way, completely boring or completely Boring! lol these two need Jenny to make them interesting otherwise it’ll just be like staring at two cardboards! but we shall wait and see.

I stand by my only truth left with this show, which is that Jenny and Nate need each other for great balance! they have great chemistry and there is just so much SL possibilities with them that NS can’t really have! I mean NS get together and then what? what’s going to be there issues? who would tell them not to be together? they would have zero angst and let’s face it, a pairing needs some form of angst to make it Epic! and If Jenny is the only form of angst they can get NS then again NJ just might trump them SL wise!

I think Serena and Nate will make a great couple. They have always been good friends and have undeniable chemistry. Also, they both lack common sense sometimes. Example: both have had relations with older married people. I would love to see them together, if only for a half of a season.

I’m with Jamaal- I like the idea of the love triangle with Jenny and I especially like it when Serena and Jenny are at odds (like on Jenny’s birthday) Nate and Serena don’t excite me together since they are 2 characters which on their own are boring : 2 dumb blondes who don’t know where they are going with their lives.

I really want Nate&Serena together but thats only because I know it will lead to Nate&Jenny I really enjoy the Nate&Jenny idea because I love Jenny and its about time she got a main guy.I hope that when the seris ends Nate&Jenny are together Blair&Chuch and Dan&Serena are and Vannessa moved to brooklyn with her “Partber” Agnes lol.
I Love Jenny this season its about time someone created trouble.I know you guys super hate Jenny for being a B to eric but how can you not love this story line? I love seeing her get mean and I really really want her to break up Nate&Serena or Chuck&Blair.I honestly belive that sense Georgina in season 1 no one has really stirred things up, Mrs Carr was close but, just look how great a debate you guys were when discussing the Whole Jenny&Eric thing. I think the writers are finally on the right track creating drama lol.

Chenestry. We had a teaser of what they could be in season one and it was HOT. Granted chemestyi s somthing between the actors and not the actuall fictional characters, so that mey or may not be a valid point.
I think Serena needs Nate in a way. When she’s not on/off with Blair or galvanting with Poppy or one of her lastest love interests, she confided in Nate. They have been friends for a long time and he’s always been there for her, especially now when she is trying to find herself. Unlike Dan, he’s not overly judgemental and unlike her past flings, he’s not a flake. He would be something stable in her life and that’s what she needs. Serena has alot of growing up to do and out of all the people in her life I beleive he is just the right person to help her with that.
Plus, I think Nate has to find himself aswell, and even though Serena is the train wreck that she is, I’m sure she’ll help him in her own way. I look forward to seeing how that would play out.
And I would like to add that they are, VERY cute together:)

When I read this I was really shocked…because I LOVE Chuck and Blair together, ’cause their had a real relaionship, and they realy fought for being to together for soooooooooooooo long…If they come back togehter at the end, its okay for me..’cause I’m okay, with one of them doing something really stupid, and then they break up..but then they have to realyse, that they love eachother..and I’m even okay with it when this is on the end of the whole serie…but just make them happy at the end..togehter..thats all I want.!!!!!

I’m a big C&B fan, but this is good news to me. They have been so boring since they became “official”. I want to see a return of that great heat C&B had in episodes like “The Dark Knight”, and the only way to do that is up the tension … with a break-up.

I can’t wait until Blair even looks at another guy and the jealousy makes Chuck return to that uncontrollable bad-boy we all fell in love with in season one.

Insane sexy chemistry + previous history = great series finale reunion!

I’m okay with them breaking up as long as they get back together eventually. I liked it better when they were both evil, not a boring blah couple. This news does make me very sad, but for some reason I feel like this is sort of a ruse by the CW. I know Chuck and Blair fans everywhere are disappointed, but hopefully this will add some drama to the couple that could really use some.

Another fun episode it was great to have something to listen to when I went back to work on Monday. However I really missed Dave!!! Dave loves the drama just as much as I do… I like the way he counterbalances Tyson’s uber-consertive comments. COME BACK DAVE!!!! I don’t really know what they should do… I just know that the spark has kind of gone out of Gossip Girl for me this season. It’s not very emotive like the last seasons were, and I think that that’s maybe where the show is falling down. I don’t think that they need to make it any more scandalous necessarily — I personally feel that the threesome was over-hyped and ridiculous — but I do feel that they need to make it more passionate.

Also, I would love to see more of Blair/Serena/Chuck/Nate interaction. These four have been BFF for years, and yet the four rarely get any screentime together. Where is this N-JBC that we’d all love to see?
Chuck and Blair are the main body of the show, much as I like the other characters. The writers need to realize this and work with it. Three minutes of cutesy-ness is great, but I’d much rather see them together then Vanessa and Dan.

What’s great about this season though? The storylines. I love Jenny’s. Likewise with Blair fitting into NYU. Chuck mother maybe coming back is full of epic potential, and I adored the DeBarted. Serena I’m not particularly fond of this season, but Nate I love whereas I didn’t before.

Lastly — I want to see them acting as teenagers a bit more! I know that they’ve always been mature for their ages, but still. Chuck may be a Business Moguel, but he’s still only eighteen years old. Likewise with everyone else. Why are Lily and Rufus acting like children, and the teenagers acting like adults? I don’t want a Chuck/Blair marriage anytime soon, likewise with a pregnancy, but I would love to see Blair’s bulimia resurface.

I love GG, and even if it does continue to be more than the same I’ll still watch. But I’d really rather the writers stepped it up a bit.

Defintily some Jenny drama like being in a love triangle and also i want her drug secret to be revealed to the school by Keria who maybe gets pissed off that Eric dropped out of the plan she seeks revenge on jenny as well as Eric only in end to be defeated by Queen J or maybe jenny role as queen will destroyed only to be recrowned like blair was in season 1 also in the end i want a MAJOR cliffhanger to come around like Blair becoming pregnant or jenny becoming a MAJOR drug addict that gets forced into rehab mainly i want some drama about Blair maybe her bulima coming back i really believe that blair is the more complex character and not Serena

I am a manga reader, although obviously this is different, and I just..don’t know. I think they’re choosing Vanessa so we have one upper east sider, and one Brooklyn character whose supposed to be more “relatable or other crap”. But, that’s NOT why people watch Gossip Girl. I at least, watch it to escape to a world different from my own. I’ll give it a chance, but I’m not expecting much.

I would like to see more Gossip Girl in the series. Having them actually log onto the site more. Getting blasts on their phones, and or computers. I agree with last week’s podcast about Rufus just being the pansy househusband. Have him get a job somewhere. Also more real conversations between Blair, and Chuck. Come on their teenagers. When do teenagers talk like they have been married to their partners for years. Have Serena get a career to have her become a model like in the novels. Have Dan, be more involved with school politics. Also have the Dan, and Vanessa pairing. Have Nate together with Serena finally. Have Jenny get back to her designs. Involve Eric more other than being Jenny’s sidekick/ rival. Have him run some club at St Jude’s.

I want to see more steamy scenes with Chuck and Blair because they are a hot couple and the best of partners at scheming. I want them to explore the whole mystery-mother-story concerning Chuck: maybe the woman we saw in the picture last season was not his birth-mother, maybe Bart had a mistress and Chuck was the product of that and it contributed to his dislike for his son. Serena and Nate should get together already – they would have an interesting relationship since they have great history. Dan and Vanessa should give it a try at trying to be more than friends. They should seriously do something about Jenny to make me actually care about her again, whether she gets into a tumultuous relationship with that drug dealer she’s been hanging out with or something sparks with her new drug-dealing job. I also think they should pull more material from the books because that’s always interesting.

So far, i’ve pretty much approved of most of the storylines that the writers of Gossip Girl have thrown at us. However, i would love to see Emma come in and somehow befriend Jenny, after giving her some trouble of course, they could sort of become the new Blair-Serena duo. I mean, they showed her in the last episode of season two and we all expected her to come back, but she never did. And just like everyone else, I also wanna see more use of gossip girl and her ‘gossip girl blasts’, without them, it’s just not the same.
I’m also wondering, since they’re revamping the whole thing, i wonder if they’ll change the opening credits ?
