Loved the podcast! You guys crack me up. :)

Shame that the series is losing so many viewers. Do you think those numbers have anything to do with people watching the show online, etc instead of the traditional tv method? Because I watch it online more than I do “normally.”

Thanks for directing me to the Ausielo/Josh Safran interview. I would never have found it otherwise and it’s super intriguing. Reinforces my burgeoning faith in the producers of the show, who apparently have put a lot of forethought into where they want to let the characters go.

A lot of people dislike the Chuck’s father storyline.. I don’t know why it made sense to me. I know I’d be upset if I found out my father was a murderer, even if I had already understood he was morally questionable.

You all are so right about the guest starts getting most of the storylines. It’s been that way for a long time. And unless the guest star is Georgina or Damien, I’m not likely to be at all invested in it.

I think Jack -is- coming back. Someone posted a spoiler pic with him standing in what looked like a hotel doorway?

You’re right about Lily’s change of attitude. It was a quick shift, her decision to face the gallows. If only there had been a short scene that explained her change in pov.

I really love Dan and Blair. My only complaint is that we rarely talk about them (D&B) without a comparison to Chuck-Blair. Ideally we could see them as their own independent unit; but then, I guess that’s the nature of it–they are a foil for their other figurative otp’s.

I was pretty surprised about Rufus’ comment too. Since he was the one who originally told Dan (back in season 1, when Dan called her “a 95-pound, doe-eyed, bonmot-tossing, label-whoring package of girly evil” haha) that people are like Blair are complicated and interesting and “worth it.” Rufus even said, “if there is anything I have learnt is that usually there is something beneath the surface with people like that… that make them act like they do…” So I always envisioned he’d pick up on a Dan-Blair dynamic, and even understand it. But I think Rufus has dumbed down a lot since that season.
