3.10 – Last Days of The Disco Stick
This recap is by teendramawhore.com
Dan is thrilled to have accomplished what he thinks is every guy’s dream: a threesome. He’s surprised, however, when Nate explains that by doing it with 2 people he knows, awkwardness is bound to ensue. In an attempt to prove him wrong, Dan makes plans to hang out with Vanessa. But when Olivia finds out, she’s clearly uncomfortable and convinces Dan to hang out with her instead. Vanessa is disappointed when Dan cancels and later realizes Olivia manipulated him into doing so. The two girls spar until Olivia point-blank calls Vanessa out on being in love with Dan. She also tells Dan that she thinks he has feelings for Vanessa, too. Dan denies it but, when he’s forced to kiss Vanessa again during a school production, he realizes he may be kidding himself. With all this in mind, Olivia decides to take on a new movie role and leave town, essentially breaking up with Dan. Before he can talk to Vanessa, though, she announces that she hasn’t had feelings for him in years and leaves to flirt with one of the theater guys.
Blair watches the Olivia-Dan-Vanessa drama unfold with much amusement, as she tries to make the production–a Lady Gaga-infused retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs–go on without a hitch. She further impresses everyone when she sets up a surprise concert by none other than Lady Gaga herself.
Serena confides in Nate that she’s attracted to Tripp and that he may be attracted to her as well. Nate is shocked and becomes determined to keep them apart, mostly for the sake of Tripp’s marriage and career. As Serena and Nate spend time together, they reminisce about their one-night-stand. Nate confesses that, at the masquerade ball a few years back, he went to tell her he loved her but accidentally told Jenny instead. Serena’s taken aback by the revelation and, as they are about to kiss, Tripp interrupts. He explains that his wife, and not his grandfather, was behind the Election Day hoax. He is devastated and ready to leave his wife. He asks Serena to go for a walk and she agrees, leaving Nate behind. Serena and Tripp end up sharing their own kiss.
At Lily’s urging, Jenny agrees to show one of Chuck’s hotel guests around the city. The guest is Damian, the son of an ambassador. Jenny finds him to be quite boring until he stealthily completes a drug deal in public. She’s intrigued and agrees to accompany him to complete another one that night. She gets uncomfortable, though, when Damian uses her as the go-between in the deal. Chuck suddenly arrives and interrupts, saying the hotel found Damian’s drug stash. He takes Jenny home and warns her to stay away from Damian and to stay out of trouble.
