For all my fashion lovers out there I have a real treat for you. A sneak peek of Anna Sui’s new Gossip Girl inspired fashion line that’s not due out until the fall!
The line is inspired by the characters of Gossip Girl, that is the girls of the show, and by the vibe of New York City. It combines fun, fashion, glamour, and a lot of individuality. The sneak peek that’s been out gives us a look at the 19 different outfits that are either a Serena, a Blair, a Jenny, or a Vanessa. I picked one outfit each for you to look at, but to view all of the looks released you can go here.
Serena’s outfits are very girly but don’t show alot of skin, which is a very Serena essential in an outfit. Here’s my favorite Serena inspired look:
I think the tight fitting shirt, tiny menwear inspired vest, and cute tight/short pants combo do a pretty nice job of capturing a “daytime” Serena look.
Jenny’s outfits are a combo of school girl fun and hobo chic, which is kind of the way Jenny is dressing now adays. Here’s my favorite Jenny look:

I think the whole ripped, tyed, odd color pattern, funky tights with short boots look is a very Jenny ensemble. She’s definitely been going more playful in her looks and this definitely is a representation of that.
Vanessa’s outfits are a mix of the same color palette, orange and brown, but I think not only do those colors suit the character well, but are also beautiful choice’s for fall. Couldn’t you see Vanessa in this look:
The vest is cute and will keep her warm on her way to where-ever she’s going, the dress is pretty and playful and very vintage feeling, and the boots are slouchy and fashionable. I think Vanessa would definitely wear this.
And finally, Blair’s inspired pieces are definitely girly and come with just the right amount of bows, lace, and attitude in my opinion. I think any of them would be something she would wear to take on the world, but I picked this pretty black number as my favorite, I’m seeing a date with Chuck for this dress, drinks anyone?
Its got pretty much of everything Blair would wear, and while some think the collection of lace and bows on the inspired pieces are too much I have to disagree. Haven’t they seen the bows in her hair? I say why not on the clothes!
In all I am pretty pleased and very excited with the fashion line. Most of the pieces fit the feeling of the character very well and you could tell how each character really inspired the clothing choices. Anna Sui did a good job sticking to the essence of each girl and her style.
The line will be available from September 13 thru October 17 both online and in the stores. But tell me, what do you think of the new line?
