    I really liked this episode!

I feel like it was a big turn around after the pretty weak episodes we’ve been getting all season. I think that some pretty interesting story arcs were opened up; ones that could last through a good part of the season. It’s nice to see a return to the more serialized format.

I think what I enjoyed the most was this episode seemed to be a turning point for Blair. She’s been really “not herself” lately, very immature and unfocused. Her little speech to Serena, and the last scene of the episode were filled with introspection for her. I think she is finally ready for a return to her true colours, her start at NYU was definitely shaky, but now I think she can get that focus back that she needs to succeed … at something. Now the writers just have to give her something worth-while to do.

My only “complaint” isn’t really specific to this episode, but more in general. I miss Chuck. Like, real Chuck. Where are the pervy, inappropriate and hilarious comments? He used to be so … evil, and it was so fun to watch! No he’s the voice of reason. Really? Chuck Bass, “voice of reason”? I mean, business man Chuck makes sense, because he really did have to grow up fast once his dad died, so he could take over Bass industries. But as viewers, we are missing out on the pure entertainment that could have been frat-boy Chuck. I personally think that would make better television.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Chuck, he’s my favourite character. But I just miss his more underhanded, debaucherous and slightly evil ways of doing things.

But as for this episode, it was great!
