Josh Safran Says Goodybe To Gossip Girl

Did the title of this article make you happy? Josh Safran has been tapped to take over as showrunner on the second season of NBC’s Smash, so what does that mean for the sixth (and final) season of Gossip Girl? Well it is undecided who will replace him but let’s hope Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage return in some capacity to do the possible final season of Gossip Girl some justice.

Are you rejoicing that Josh Safran has said goodbye to Gossip Girl, are you happy that Gossip Girl could possibly return to its roots for its final season, does this mean the NJBC is back? Does this mean Eric, Vanessa and Jenny could return to say a final goodbye as well? Will Blair and Chuck return to their scheming and games? Will Serena be blackmailed by Georgina again? Will Nate be as Natefused as ever? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

I’m so happy Safran is moving on. I’m sick of him pushing his perception of the characters on the rest of us.

Oh my, I really love Smash.. This makes me nervous!

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Paolo, Jessica and Taylor didn’t leave because of Mr. Safran, so it’s pretty unlikely that they would come back just because he’s gone (maybe they’ll be back for the series finale, maybe).
Also, I don’t think JS ans SS are coming back since they’ll be doing their little Carrie Diaries show, and he also is developing a sitcom for NBC.
Finally, I’ve watch a couple episodes of Smash, and I really hope that Josh can fix that trainwreck (I’m not being sarcastic, I actually liked his run on GG)
    XOXO

Thinking about it, what do you mean by roots? Joshua Safran has been on the show since the first season. As a matter of fact, he’s the one who wrote some of the best eps of the series, like ‘Women on the Verge’ and ‘The Magnificent Archibalds’. If anything, losing him will mean that season six will most likely be pretty far away from the esence of the show.
