In “Country Strong,” Hedlund plays a rising young singer/songwriter who becomes involved with a fallen country singer played by Paltrow. As they embark on a career resurrection tour with her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and a beauty queen turned singer (Leighton Meester), romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.
The release date of Country Strong is December 22, 2010.
Leighton seems to be keeping busy. She just came back from filming Monte Carlo in Europe with Katie Cassidy, Selena Gomez and Cory Monteith. She may not be starring in huge movies like Blake Lively with The Green Lantern, but she’s keeping busy with these smaller projects. Big movies or small movies, at least the Gossip Girl starlets are getting work and perfecting their craft.
