Meet The New van der Humphrey

The love child is coming to Gossip Girl and will make his Gossip Girl debut in the season finale. Scott Riggi will play Scott, the love child of Lily and Rufus. And of course, he’s keeping in the Gossip Girl theme of good looking (you must admit he’s no Aaron Rose) and I’m thinking he’s got to play a major role in season 3 of the show!

The return of Scott is going to be a major grenade in the “Lufus” relationship.

From all of you guys comments, most people don’t seem to care about Lily and Rufus, but I’m starting to care. I don’t necessarily want them to be the forefront of any future episodes, but they are bringing in someone young to counterbalance this storyline. For some reason, I really do want Rufus to propose to Lily. Maybe it’s because I want them to stop contriving drama between them that we as an audience don’t really care about. So I’m totally feeling a Lily and Rufus marriage. Plus that would add a deeper dynamic to Jenny because she’ll be that UES princess she claims she doesn’t want to be (but we constantly see her at the van der Bass penthouse).

Are you guys interested in the Scott becoming a major character on the show? Do you care that his reemergence might cause problems for Lily and Rufus?

    no.. I don’t want to see him.
    that only means more lilly and rufus screen time that could be spent on something important. i.e. anything to do with anyone under 30.

    He’s kind of cute, I guess. I don’t particularly care one way or the other about Scott becoming a major character. It’d be interesting to see the dynamic between Serena/Dan/Scott and how they get along after it’s awkward but as for Lily and Rufus, I couldn’t give a damn. I hope they focus more on Serena and Dan as opposed to Lily and Rufus. Why are they so overused? Elanor, Harold, Cyrus, Nate’s mum/dad and whoever else are used well. They’re barely ever on our screens and when they are, they bring comic relief, actual good stuff to the episode or they serve a purpose. It feels like Lily and Rufus are just pushed in there because Schwartz loves them so much. It seems like Lily and Rufus are already having problems but Scoot will either bring them together or tear them apart. IDK.. I’d rather have L & R as a couple so we don’t have to see their relationship drama as often.

    without seeing him ‘alive’ we aready know, that he is weird, because how can a guy with this looking be as sensitiv as DAN HUMPHREY?

    i like them getting married, cause it causes drama! and um NBD had anyone ever seen Clueless? oh wait ew gross, NO CHUCK AND JENNY. oh please! that would be like Lily and Jack, not that i would put it past her to marry the brother of her dead husband for money (does she not have enough?)and then it be like Jack was the one who set Bart up the accident and that would be great drama! in the back of mind i kind of always thoght that was why they didn’t show us why it happened. WHAT IF LILY WAS BEHIND THE WHOLE CONTACTING JACK AND SETTING EVERYONE UP THING???? this would be so great. this would be so HAMLET meets that one movie that had the clone robot housewives! can this please happen please? or does it sound way too fan fic?
