Other bands on Interscope Geffen A&M Records include: Kate Voegele, Black Eyed Peas, Eminen, Sheryl Crow, and The All-American Rejects.
Also, Leighton Meester, filmed the video for Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad” on May 3rd in New York City when she was in town for the Met Costume Gala. The video will premiere in mid-June. Dave made a post about this earlier where he featured the song and many of you guys have raved about how great it is. I personally think Leighton’s part in the song is too short, but I was presently surprised at what she did bring to the table. Recently, Leighton inked a deal with Universal Republic Records. This is what Leighton said to Perez Hilton about her new record deal:
Other bands on Universal Republic Records include: 3 Doors Down, India.Arie, Amy Winehouse and Colbie Caillat.
Where The Pretty Reckless is signed to a bigger label, Leighton Meester is on a label that has a strong record of allowing their artists to be artists. I wonder why pretty reckless was the one to sign with a bigger label, but maybe it will work out for the best. When fall rolls around, I don’t think there will be competition between to the two because Leighton is more electro pop and Momsen’s band is very rock. This should make for some pretty interesting music releases come the fall.
Are you looking forward to the album releases? Do you think they’ll play their music on Gossip Girl?
