It’s week #2 of our contests and this week we’re giving out accessories. All you have to do is answer this week’s contest question:

Blair Waldorf has kind of made headbands iconic from Gossip Girl. And we have to admit every character has a very unique look with their own signature style. Gossip Girl has always been in the loop with hot new music, the latest technology and fashion. So our question to you is: What Gossip Girl news item or trend has been the most interesting to you?

    What Gossip Girl news item or trend has been the most interesting to you?

    OMG well for me, I’ve definitely gotten into the headbands! I have bought over 20 over the last year and have lots more that I want to get! I just need to get some money first, hehe. :P

    I think Chuck’s scarf is a very interesting piece carried over from the books. Chuck Bass just wouldn’t be Chuck Bass without his signature scarf. And lets not forget the line:
    Blair: Why? It’s not like you ever do anything athletic.
    Chuck: Well that’s not entirely true, now is it?
    Blair: Fine. Nothing that requires removing your scarf.
    Chuck: It was one time. It was chilly.
    I actually made three scarfs working at a craft tent recently (for volunteer hours don’t ask) and I really love the versatility of scarves. Serena has also been spotted rocking the scarf look as well. I wish Chuck would wear his scarf more often!

    I love love Blair’s headbands, but what I really like is how Gossip Girl shows us new ideas for all kinds of trends. We’ve got a more dressy, preppy look from Blair, the colorful stuff from Chuck, more out there punkish stuff from Jenny, Serena’s rather *cough* revealing, but prehaps a bit more casual while still staying expensive, Vannessa, I guess you’d call it “funky look”…the show appeals to alot of different fashions out there to give us all new ideas. I can’t tell you how many things of Blair’s I would wear- and this year I am wearing a headband almost every day in tribute. Yeah I’m obsessed lol.

    In the last season especialy I really liked seeing how all the characters dressed for the white party.

    So my favorite trend? Anything of Blair’s.

    I like how the girls (Blair’s posse) are somewhat color cordinated. They aren’t afraid to push the envelope with their fashion choices, namely the tights they wear: they come in all sorts of loud colors. I also love the jewelry. Blair’s jewelry is classy. I really like Vanessa’s style too. I guess she’e supposed to be going for a bohemian-like style mixed with her own funky flavor, yet kinda trendy. It’s so cool and a lot of the things she wears is what I’d totally wear. Of course Blair’s headbands are stylish, but I have to say that I’ve been wearing headbands way before the show even came on. I still love hers though. Cell phones are a big deal in the show because that’s the sole means of gossip news for the characters. I never thought that my cell phone could be a weapon of mass destruction. =D XOXO

    What I love about GG is that it has stayed clear of havng all it’s characters dress the same like many tv shows today. Each character has their own style to match their characters, these styles match so well that Jenny’s heavy eye makeup and Chuck’s scarft have almost become iconic in viewer’s minds. As much as I roll my eyes at all of Jenny’s eye makeup, she just won’t be the same girl without it. That being said my favorite trend would have to be ever popular Blair’s headbands. They are always so nicely matched and complete her outfit. I love these headbands so much that I often pause episodes just to get a good look at them. However a close 2nd would be Serena’s semi-messy bedhead hair, though it is hard to work without Blake’s long blonde locks it is a nice change from the straight ironed hair we usually see. All in all the cast of GG has to be one of the most stylish cast out there- always setting a new trend!

    The most interesting trend for me is Blair’s headbands.I owned like two headbands before I ever watched the show but after seeing it I bought like ten more.I love them now and wear them with every outfit.

    love all Blair headbands but i like how in season 2 you start to see a more of a edgy look for jenny.

    Blaire’s whole style is very inspiring. I have really gotten into headbands and the whole preppy look. I lOVE wearing colorful tights under my shorts!

    The trend that has been most interesting for me for both seasons, one and two, were defently the headbands. Since I started to love Blair (which was in episode 6 or 7) I fell totally in love with her clothing, her style, her attitute and her hair accesoirs.
    Even though it sounds crazy, every girl dreamt of being a princess because of the crowns and since Queen B appeared for the first time on TV screens she made clear that headbands are the new crowns. It is nawt like I see myself as a princess but I am totally obsessd with headbands, too.
    Just because they add a little stylish something to every outfit, so it’s pretty clear that I have headbands in almost every colour.
    I mean, I can’t remember any headbands in the books so that whole headband fashion thing got started by the CW and now like every girl wears them. I’m not sure, but I think there are also more headbands available. And for example Jennifer Behnette (not sure if i spelled that right), the label Blair has most of her headbands from is now über-popular.
    But you can clearly see that the headbands are the crowns on the upper east side. for example in “the ex files” when S is about to take over the step girls she wears a headband, like HER crown.
    But that looks kinda weird, because headbands are chic and nice and everything and serena has that thing with her hair that she is like the “instant goddess”, that she just rolls out of bed and looks great, her hair is always in a stylish un-do and to that headbands are just weird.
    deciding which one could be my favourite headband is kinda hart, because I love every one. I guess I would say her actal crown, the thing from the prom, because it is über-be-yoo-tiful. As headband I love her huge red headband with the bow and the one from the season 2 finale.
    Another trend started by Blair is her look.
    She has the classic, but chic and everything styling that shows you the attitude of the upper east side. it’s kind of preppy chic but less sporty.
    for example serena, in the whole 2 seasons you often see her in jeans, but blair?
    I can’t remember her EVER wearing jeans. Maybe that pair of shorts with the red tights, but no jeans. It kind of shows her attitude, how she thinks, that the best is just good enough for her.
    I could talk about Gossip Girl fashion on and on, but I think that is all.
    To sum it up, the most interesting gossip girl trend for me had been Blair’s whole closet, escpecally her headwear.
